Housing, Schools and Commercial Buildings Benefit from Warmcel

Excel Building Solutions will be demonstrating the varied building applications of the company's Warmcel range of high performance insulation at Ecobuild 2006.  These include housing, schools and commercial buildings constructed from standard timber frame or the company's award-winning TRADIS range of factory-manufactured wall panels, floor cassettes and roof plates.

Manufactured entirely from recycled newspaper, Warmcel insulation is used extensively in both private and social housing from individual houses or bungalows to complete housing developments, and, increasingly, medium rise apartment blocks. Used to insulate walls of timber frame homes and lofts of both timber frame and traditionally-constructed properties, Warmcel's ability to reduce heating costs and the sustainable, low-environmental impact qualities of the insulation are most often cited as key reasons for its specification in these markets.

In the schools sector, Warmcel has found widespread demand, especially from local authorities, who place sustainability high on their specification agenda.  In addition to delivering a warm and healthy environment for schoolchildren and teachers, Warmcel's energy efficiency and environmental performance is also finding its way onto many education curriculums, where pupils learn how materials and products, such as Warmcel, used to build their school are beneficial in reducing CO₂ emissions and global warming.

In commercial applications, Warmcel, often in combination with Excel's TRADIS range, delivers significant benefits for developers and businesses.  By using the fast track TRADIS system with its reduced build times, businesses are able to start generating revenue far sooner than is possible with traditionally built structures and, once in operation, reduced heating demand cuts running costs while ensuring a comfortable environment for buildings' inhabitants or visitors.

Companies are also able to demonstrate corporate social responsibility in terms of Warmcel's environmental credentials.  Commercial applications featuring Warmcel include offices, business units, supermarkets, leisure facilities, hotels, visitor centres, museums and retail outlets.
