Warmcel brings Zero Heat to Ecobuild 2007
27 February 2007

Ecobuild 2007 Exhibition, Earls Court Exhibition Centre: 27 February – 1 March
Stand number: F129

Excel Building Solutions will be displaying its well-established environmentally friendly range of Warmcel high performance insulation products at the 2007 Ecobuild exhibition, taking place at Earls Court Exhibition Centre between 27 February and 1 March. The latest developments in Warmcel wall panel systems will also be on show and there will be the opportunity to find out more about Zero Heat Homes.

In addition to the demonstration of Warmcel’s insulation properties, there will be information available on the Zero Heat Home, a concept that can be achieved through the inclusion of Warmcel insulation and panelling systems. This concept can contribute to achieving a carbon neutral home, which was referred to in the Chancellor’s pre-Budget speech in December, by reducing emissions through a drastic reduction in energy usage within the home.

Manufactured entirely from recycled newspaper, Warmcel has an excellent BRE environmental rating and contributes substantially to a building's sustainability credentials, while its enviable insulation performance enables architects and developers to more easily meet revised Part L Building Regulations requirements.

Warmcel has a thermal conductivity of just 0.038 W/mK, which means it is extremely effective in limiting heat transfer. This translates into a typical U-value for a 140mm deep timber frame wall of just 0.26 W/m2K, which is well inside the building regulations requirement of 0.35 W/m2K or less.

Warmcel is used extensively for applications where minimising space heating and environment impact are high on the specification agenda. Warmcel products are available for insulating external timber frame walls and warm roofs, and for the insulation of lofts in virtually any building construction.

In addition to Warmcel, Excel supplies Panelvent and Paneline external and internal sheathing boards. A timber frame structure featuring Warmcel insulation in combination with these sheathing boards benefits from inherent 'EVT' protection against interstitial condensation, safeguarding the integrity of the structure for the lifetime of the building.
